No S.Korean Casualties Reported from Sichuan Quake

No South Korean casualties have been reported after a massive earthquake hit Sichuan Province, China on Monday.

Some 200 South Korean people were in the southwestern province when the earthquake struck.

South Korean travel agency Hana Tour said some 150 South Korean tourists visiting the area are safe. It said they'll return home from Chengdu, near the quake's epicenter, on Tuesday.

Another travel agency Mode Tour confirmed the safety of 77 South Korean tourists in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan.

Sichuan Province is one of China’s more popular tourist attractions. It draws some ten-thousand South Korean visitors every year.
