About ten out of 69 companies operating in the Gaesong Industrial Complex in North Korea are in the black, and some 20 of them are about to break even.

The chief of the complex's management committee Shin Un-sang also told a bimonthly magazine that companies that have not reached the break-even point are not in the red if certain factors are considered.

Shin also said the business park is receiving more inquiries for entry from South Korean small firms as well as those in China, Southeast Asia and Central and South America.
