'US Intelligence Exaggerated NK Plutonium'

The New York Times says U.S. intelligence could have exaggerated North Korea's plutonium production.

In its Sunday edition, the daily reported that a team of experts who recently examined 18,000 documents submitted by Pyongyang believe the North produced 37 kilograms of plutonium, lower than the 40 to 50 kilograms estimated by U.S. intelligence.

In addition, the documents contain information on the three major steps in plutonium reprocessing for weapons production, but had no data on the North's uranium program or proliferation activities.
