KBS will televise a special live program to help identify Korean War dead for their surviving families as the nation observes Memorial Day on Friday.

During the special program at the Seoul National Cemetery, DNA samples of surviving family members will be collected and run through a database.

KBS will also tell the stories of families looking for the remains of their beloved fathers, brothers and sons who died during the Korean War over a half century ago.

Meanwhile, a commendation ceremony will be held in honor of war veterans and their families.
