NUAC Seeks to Invite NK Children to US

A group of North Korean children is expected to visit the United States as early as this winter.

The National Unification Advisory Council’s office in Washington said the council plans to invite a group of North Korean children, including a children’s choir, as part of an event to bring together youths of the two Koreas. This year would mark the second time for the event to take place.

Council representatives discussed the meeting with U.S. State Department officials in a meeting last Friday. The State Department has pledged its active cooperation.
