NK Calls Nuke Talks with US 'Successful'

North Korea says it had "successful" talks with the United States on disabling its nuclear facilities.

A North Korean Foreign Ministry spokesman on Thursday told the North’s official Korean Central News Agency the negotiations were successful and fruitful.

The spokesman said the two sides discussed technical issues related to completing disablement of the North's nuclear facilities, as well as subsequent political and economic incentives.

Meanwhile, U.S. State Department official Sung Kim told reporters Thursday in Seoul that he had useful talks with Pyongyang on its denuclearization.

Kim returned to Seoul Wednesday after talks in Pyongyang.
