The government has approved its first inter-Korean economic project since President Lee Myung-bak took office.

The Unification Ministry said Thursday it has approved an application for a joint venture project filed by the South Korean company “Paradise Korea.”

The ministry said the South Korean firm will be allowed to produce clothing in North Korea in a joint venture with a North Korean company.
