Chinese, Mongolian Children to Get Free Surgery

The National Medical Center plans to provide free heart surgery for 13 ethnic Koreans from China and Mongolia.

The center on Friday said that 13 children have been selected from low-income households in the two countries. The surgeries will be completed by the end of next month after physical examinations.

The children will enter the nation this month.

The center launched the free surgery project in 1999, beginning with children from low-income households in China.
