An event to mark the eighth anniversary of the 2000 inter-Korean summit declaration will be held Sunday and Monday at the Mount Geumgang resort area of North Korea.

The event will be attended by some 260 South Koreans, 100 North Koreans and 80 ethnic Koreans from around the world.

The South Korean delegation arrived in Pyongyang after crossing the inter-Korean border early Sunday.

The event will be held without government officials from the two Koreas or delegates from Seoul's ruling Grand National Party.
