Moody's Investors Service has upgraded South Korea's sovereign rating outlook to "positive" from "stable." Moody's cited the ongoing influx of foreign capital to South Korea amid the continuing global economic downturn. The move is prompting expectation that the U.S. ratings agency may raise the country's sovereign rating by one notch to B-a-a-2 early next year when it is scheduled to release a country report.
