An association of North Korean escapee groups said Friday it'll send balloons carrying monthly newspapers containing essays written by escapees.

The organization said two of its member groups will send the first batch of about 35-thousand copies of the newspapers around June 25th.

The two-page tabloid papers will mostly carry personal essays written by North Korean escapees. They'll be sent to the North by hydrogen balloons or other types of large balloons.

The association said it hopes the papers will carry vivid stories of how North Korean escapees are living in the South and instill the desire for freedom.
