North Korea has asked the Unification Church to invest in a hotel in Pyongyang.

Radio Free Asia said Monday that top church official Pak Bo-hi will visit China for discussions with the North this week.

The U.S. government-funded broadcaster said that church founder, the Reverend Moon Sun-myung, may meet with North Korean officials himself.

The construction of the 105-story North Korean hotel started in 1987. But it was suspended ten years later. It was resumed this year with investment from an Egyptian company.

But the North asked for additional investment from the Unification Church, since the money from the Egyptian firm is not enough.
