Gov’t Responded to NK’s Claim of Alleged Anti-NK Leaflets

The government has responded to North Korea’s accusation late last month that the South distributed anti-North leaflets.

A military official said that the nation’s military made the response in a telephone message early this month.

In the message, Seoul stressed it had stopped propaganda activity in accordance with a 2004 inter-Korean military agreement and will continue to abide by the agreement.

It added that a military training exercise on May 29th entailed spraying blank leaflets, some of which had messages on them, such as “Preserve Nature” or “Prevent Wild Fire.”
