Korea, China, Japan to Strengthen Cooperation in Tourism

The tourism ministers of South Korea, China and Japan have adopted the Busan Declaration to strengthen cooperation in the tourism sector.

During the trilateral tourism ministers’ meeting in Busan, the three sides agreed to set up a payment system that tourists can use in the three countries in order to facilitate tourism in the region. As part of the effort, using a single payment card will be tested in the public transportation systems of the three countries starting in September.

Also, the three tourism heads agreed to cooperate to develop cruise and tour packages and link major tourism sites of the three countries.

The fourth tourism ministers’ meeting will take place in Chubu, Japan next year.
