Gov't to map out traffic response to 2002 World Cup

The Ministry of Construction and Transportation plans to map out traffic directions to the 2002 World Cup finals. The ministry said in order to map out traffic strategies for the international event, the ministry will host a conference Dec. 10th with related organizations, including the Korean Organizing Committee for the 2002 FIFA World Cup and transportation directors from the hosting provinces. Major topics include signpost inspection and laying out the optimum routes between host cities.
The ministry will exchange views on traffic measures concerning the World Cup with its Japanese counterpart for three days starting Dec. 12th in Tokyo.
During the meeting, the two sides' representatives will talk about the operation of chartered planes and compare each other's traffic measures.
