All Mt. Geumgang Tourists Return Home

All South Korean tourists visiting North Korea’s Mount Geumgang resort have returned home.

Hyundai Asan Corp., the South Korean operator of the tour program, said all 350 tourists returned to the South Sunday three days after one tourist was shot dead by a North Korean soldier.

Some 15-hundred South Koreans remain at the mountain resort, including business staff and Hyundai Asan employees. The company will decide whether to withdraw its staff there after watching the developments.

Despite the shooting, 532 South Korean tourists entered the North Korean border city of Gaesong Saturday, and a similar number of people was expected to visit the industrial city Sunday.
