The government has decided to extend "Visit Korea Year" through next year to promote tourism ahead of the World Cup finals and the Asian Games. The decision was made Thursday at a meeting of vice ministers of relevant ministries. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism plans to introduce a variety of tourist products featuring Korean culture and landscape to attract more foreign tourists. During the first ten months of this year, the number of foreign tourists decreased almost eleven percent from the same period last year to 420-thousand ... due to the September terrorist attacks on the United States.
