The funeral of a South Korean tourist killed at North Korea’s Mount Geumgang took place at the Asan Medical Center in Seoul Tuesday morning.

About 50 people attended including the late Park Wang-ja’s family, friends and Hyundai Asan officials.

Her body will be buried in a cemetery in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi Province.

The bereaved family was planning to hold the funeral after obtaining the autopsy results from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation (NISI), but eventually reconsidered.

Meanwhile, the autopsy results will be presented to the government’s joint investigative team at the Unification Ministry Tuesday afternoon.
