Gov't Preps Mock Shooting of Tourist Death

The government is preparing a mock shooting experiment as part of its probe into the death of a South Korean tourist shot by a North Korean soldier at the North's Mount Geumgang resort.

An official says in an effort to defuse questions about the death of Park Wang-ja, the government is preparing an experiment based on confirmed facts.

According to autopsy results announced Wednesday, Park died of liver and lung failure from two long distance shots from an AK-74 rifle.

In its third investigative meeting Thursday, the government plans to continue to verify photos others tourists took at the scene of the accident as well as other related data.
