The nation's economic and energy aid packages to North Korea are under way in accordance with the agreement reached on February 13th in the six-party nuclear talks.

A government official said the process was right on schedule.

Under the six-party agreement, Seoul has already sent aid equivalent to 120-thousand tons of heavy oil out of its pledged amount of 200-thousand tons.

However, the official noted the rest of the shipment may be delayed as South Korea is having difficulties acquiring some of the provisions due to the rising cost of raw materials.
