S. Korea to spend 34 trillion won in port development

The government will spend 34 trillion won or 26 billion U.S. dollars ... on building or expanding port facilities across the nation. Seven trillion won will go to a project to build a new harbor in Busan ... the nation's largest port on the southeastern coast. Gwangyang port will get another seven trillion won ... with the rest earmarked for projects to construct new harbors on the west coast. The decision came Wednesday at a port development policy meeting chaired by the Prime Minister.
