KBS World has been named one of the official channels for the Beijing Olympic Games.

The organizing committee of the Beijing Olympics is currently providing the Korean channel at all Olympic sports facilities and stadiums, as well as the Olympic village and the news center.

Altogether, there are about 20 official foreign channels selected by the committee, including CNN, BBC and NHK.

The global satellite channel KBS World airs popular programs from channels KBS 1 and KBS 2.
