South Korean pop singer Cho Yong-pil says he is willing to hold a concert in North Korea anytime.

Visiting Los Angeles, Cho told reporters that while he was having his first concert in the North in August 2005, the then vice chairman of the North's Asia-Pacific Peace Committee suggested a second one at Mount Baekdu or May Day Stadium in Pyongyang.

However, the singer said he has heard no word from the North since, but added that he wished to have an outdoor concert in North Korea at some point.

To mark the 40th year of his debut, Cho will hold concerts in Los Angeles on August ninth and in New York on the 16th.
