Koreas to March Separately in Olympic Opening

South and North Korea will likely march two or three delegations apart from each other into the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games.

Vice president of the Beijing Organizing Committee Wang Wei announced at a Friday news conference that South Korea will enter before North Korea, adding the two delegations would be separated by a few other nations during the parade into Olympic Stadium later in the day.

According to the rearrangement, South Korea will likely be presented 177th, while North Korea will march 180th.

North Korea was originally scheduled to appear 178th, right after South Korea.
