South Korea plans to make World Cup plazas where soccer fans can gather to watch the World Cup finals next year. The Korea World Cup Organizing Committee plans to talk with relevant agencies next week to work out details. The committee plans to build the World Cup Plazas at about 20 sites across the nation where crowds of between ten and 50 thousand people can watch the soccer matches on a mammoth TV screen. In addition, authorities plan to set up exhibition booths where the World Cup official sponsors will display their products. Organizers hope that the World Cup plaza will also give local governments an opportunity to introduce traditional Korean culture to foreign visitors.
