Another group of South Koreans will return home in the wake of North Korea’s decision to expel South Korean employees at Mount Geumgang.
A dozen employees, including two from the state-run Korea Tourism Organization and six from the family reunion center at the mountain resort, will return to the South on Monday.
The move comes after the North announced last Saturday that it will begin expelling “unnecessary" South Koreans from the mountain resort starting August tenth.
Earlier on Sunday, four employees that worked at the family reunion center returned to the South.
Some 120 South Korean workers have been recalled since August third. Around 130 remain at the communist state’s mountain resort.
Meanwhile, Hyundai Asan said Sunday that it plans to recall 21 more staff members back to the South Wednesday. The remaining 26 employees at Geumgang will remain at the resort to conduct facility maintenance.
