The World Tourism Investment Summit will be held in the southern port city of Busan from October sixth to the eighth.

About 500 global representatives from around the world will attend the summit, including tourism ministers from some 30 countries, executives from private sectors of investment and development, government officials and senior officials of international organizations.

The summit is organized by the Canada-based World Trade University and is sponsored by the World Travel and Tourism Council, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

The summit, launched in 2004, will feature forums and workshops dealing with pending issues affecting the global tourism market.
