The Ministry of Unification will conduct orientation classes through the Internet for prospective visitors to North Korea .
According to the ministry, the government is building the computer system and content for a "cyber education" program for visitors to the North.
The system will allow South Korean visitors to the North to take orientation lectures and online tests. A pilot program will be conducted in October.
The online orientation is intended to reduce the preparation time and money spent by visitors to the North. About 20-thousand prospective visitors are currently required to physically attend classes for three hours.
The government will maintain the current, face-to-face, program to give potential visitors orientation options.
