The government will strengthen its monitoring of hepatitis A and Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, or human mad cow disease.

The Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs said Friday that it issued an advance notice of revisions to laws on preventing and managing epidemics.

With the revisions, all medical facilities across the country will monitor human mad cow disease in addition to the current 320 medical centers.
