Gov’t to Fund Medical Research

The government has announced it plans to receive proposals geared at enhancing health and medical research.

The Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Ministries plans to spend some 46-million U.S. dollars to finance health and medical research projects. The proposals must be submitted before September 30th.

The allocation of funds will go to research projects developing drugs to combat deadly and infectious diseases.

Developers of new drugs with substantial economic benefits and revolutionary medical devices are also eligible to compete for the financial support.
