Defense Minister Lee Sang-gee on Wednesday apologized for an Army officer's involvement in the most recent North Korean spy case.

Lee also ordered the military to conduct security inspections and give special anti-espionage classes to service members.

He also said North Korea's strategy to communize the South has not changed, and that soldiers are main targets for North Korean spies.

He also told the Defense Security Command to strengthen anti-espionage activities, and ordered military commanders to tighten discipline among officers.
