A new survey finds that a growing number of Koreans have become interested in traveling to China following the Beijing Olympics.
According to the survey by Mode Tour on some 15-hundred adults, nearly 54 percent of respondents said they became more interested in China after the Olympic Games, while a little over seven percent said the opposite.
As for the reasons for greater interest in China, around 41 percent cited improved infrastructure for travelers, and nearly 40 percent said they wanted to personally see how developed China had become. Around eleven percent said their interest grew because of China’s enhanced image after the Olympics. Nearly six percent of the surveyed said they wanted to see the grand stadiums that were unveiled during the world sporting event.
The survey found that more than 84 percent wanted to visit Beijing, around 54 percent Shanghai and around 19 percent the Great Wall of China.
