Military Exhibition to Open in Seoul on Friday

A special exhibition marking the 60th anniversary of Korea's armed forces will be held in Seoul.

The War Memorial of Korea said Wednesday that it will hold the exhibition from Friday until the end of this year.

Around two-thousand photographs, videos and documents will be on display, including newly disclosed ones such as former North Korean President Kim Il-sung's 1953 letter to General Matthew Ridgeway, commander of the United Nations Forces, during the armistice negotiations, and South Korean President Rhee Syngman's letter to General Paik Sun-yup, the South Korean chief negotiator for the armistice talks.

Also on display will be various weapons and supplies used by Korean troops in the past.
