Border Ceremony Marks Inter-Korean Summit

A ceremony has been held to mark the first anniversary of the inter-Korean summit declaration signed on October fourth last year.

The celebration at Imjingak pavilion south of the border with North Korea was attended by one-thousand people, including former Unification Minister Lee Jae-jeong.

Participants adopted a resolution calling on the government to change its hard-line attitude toward North Korea.

The two Koreas held separate ceremonies for the October 4th declaration, as the North rejected the South’s proposal to hold a joint event, citing a tight time limit.
