309 More Organisms Subject to Gov't Approval

The government says some three hundred more organisms will be subject to government approval when being carried out of the country.

The Ministry of Environment said Monday that 99 types of plants, 180 types of insects and 30 types of fish will require government approval before being taken out of the country.

In the event designated organisms are carried out of the country without government approval, those responsible can face fines and up to two years in prison.

A specimen of the designated organism is also subject to government approval.

The ministry currently has designated a total of 822 organisms as those subject to approval in order to be carried out of the country.
