No. of Gaeseong Tourists to Reach 100,000

The Unification Ministry says that the number of South Korean tourists to Gaeseong in North Korea will top 100-thousand Wednesday.

The head of Hyundai Asan, the South Korean operator of tours to Gaeseong, will visit the North's border city to mark the milestone.

The Hyundai Asan chief and his party will hold a celebration at the inter-Korean immigration office at Dorasan train station and cross the border along with tourists.

However, he has no plans to meet with North Korean officials.

South Korean tourists go to the North Korean city over land in the morning and return home in the afternoon. The one-day trip to Gaeseong was launched on December fifth of last year.
