The Korea Food Expo has opened to promote the good quality and safety of domestic agricultural products.
The one-week event is being held at the aT Center and Citizens’ Forest in southern Seoul.
The Minister for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Chang Tae-pyong and Food Expo Promotion Committee Chairwoman Han Young-sil attended the opening ceremony on Monday.
At the venue, a large-size three-dimensional artwork of a Korean traditional table is displayed.
The event will exhibit various food products made with domestic produce and fermented dishes, including kimchi. In addition, the effects of sun-dried sea salt and ginseng will be introduced.
The declaration ceremony of Korean food globalization on Thursday will be attended by food experts and cultural leaders from home and abroad and foreign diplomats.
