The “Visit Korea Campaign 2010-2012” was launched in a ceremony in Seoul Tuesday.

The ceremony was held with the participation of First Lady Kim Yun-ok and figures from various sectors in society. Actor Bae Yong-joon was appointed a publicity ambassador for the campaign at the ceremony.

First Lady Kim said she will make an all-out effort for the success of the campaign, globalization of Korea’s culture and development of the nation’s tourism industry.

Organizers of the campaign are pursuing various projects, including overseas marketing, in a bid to meet the goal of attracting some ten-million foreign tourists yearly to the nation by 2012.
