President Kim Dae-jung has sent his best wishes for the New Year to ethnic Koreans in New York. He also paid his respects to ethnic Koreans killed in the September eleventh terrorist attacks and extended his deepest sympathies to families of the victims.
Kim said he hopes that the Korean community in New York will overcome today's difficulties and turn them into an opportunity for a new beginning.
