Gov't Says It Respects All Inter-Korean Agreements

The South Korean government says it fully respects the agreements reached at the inter-Korean summits.

Unification Ministry spokesman Kim Ho-nyoun told a briefing on Friday that he hopes the two Koreas draw up plans to implement the agreements through dialogue.

Kim said that the government will consistently pursue North Korean policies for coexistence and mutual prosperity, adding that South Korea in no way wants confrontation with the North.

In a commentary in the Rodong Shinmun, the Workers' Party newspaper, North Korea on Thursday threatened to cut all inter-Korean relations while demanding the implementation of the agreements.
