Labor oraganizations from North and South Korea have agreed to hold a regular inter-Korean laborer leaders’ conference and a joint celebration of next year’s Labor Day.

The South’s Federation of Korean Trade Unions said its seven delegates met Chairman Kim Byeong-pal of the North’s General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea during a recent four-day visit to Pyongyang.

The two sides discussed ways to strengthen ties and cooperation between laborers in the two countries.

They also agreed to seek the construction of an inter-Korean hall for laborers in the North’s industrial complex in Gaeseong.
