City officials said Saturday that part of this southern city rich with dolmen ruins will be turned into a park featuring reenactments of Korean burial ceremonies and other cultural experiences. The area has been designated a world cultural heritage site by UNESCO. According to the officials...Kochang City in North Cholla Province will buy privately-owned land in and around the dolmen area at 3.35 billion won or 2.5 million dollars. It has already completed administrative procedures to lift city development restrictions last year. The dolmen park will also incorporate other facilities to display culture dating back to prehistoric times. The project is estimated at 30 billion won or 22.83 million dollars.
