Two Koreas to Hold Military Talks Monday

The two Koreas will hold working-level military talks Monday as proposed by North Korea.

The South Korean Defense Ministry said Saturday that the talks will open in the morning at a cross-border immigration office in the western part of the inter-Korean border.

Pyongyang proposed the meeting Friday and Seoul accepted the day after.

The talks are expected to discuss pressing issues including an upgrade of the hotline between the two sides.

Both sides could end up arguing again over anti-North Korea leaflets distributed by South Korean groups. In the first working-level military talks earlier this month, Pyongyang protested the dissemination of the leaflets.
