Many South Korean business leaders are visiting the Gaeseong Industrial Complex in North Korea this week.

Unification Ministry spokesman Kim Ho-nyoun said in Monday’s news briefing that a group of 100 delegates from the association of companies doing business at the Gaeseong complex visited the North Korean border city on Monday.

On Wednesday, one of the resident companies, Munchang, will hold a ceremony with 87 company officials in attendance to mark the third anniversary of its North Korean plant.

Another group of 100 small- and medium-sized entrepreneur groups from Seoul and Ulsan are planning to visit the complex on Thursday.

The spokesman added that six academic and cultural groups will also visit the North.
