Gov’t Urges Civic Groups to Stop Sending Leaflets

The government is urging civic groups to stop sending anti-communist leaflets to the North in consideration of various inter-Korean agreements.

Unification Ministry spokesman Kim Ho-nyoun said that related ministries held a meeting on the issue after Pyongyang voiced complaints at the inter-Korean working-level military meeting on Monday.

Kim went on to say that, in turn, the government will urge the North to stop slandering the South.

The spokesman added that Seoul will continue with negotiations regarding Pyongyang’s request for communications equipment and materials intended for inter-Korean military hotlines.
