'Kim Jong-il Well Enough to Work'

North Korean leader Kim Jong-il is reportedly well enough to resume his ordinary duties.

South Korea’s National Intelligence Service Director Kim Sung-ho on Tuesday told a parliamentary intelligence committee that Kim Jong-il appears well enough to perform his daily duties although he’s not completely well.

Regarding recent reports that Kim’s eldest son, Jong-nam, visited Paris to meet a neurosurgeon for his ailing father, the intelligence chief said that he believes the eldest son made a trip to France last week.

On anti-Pyongyang leaflets distributed by South Korean civic groups, the spy chief said that the Unification Ministry asked them to stop it.

He added that the leaflets could be a threat to North Korea as they reveal some stark realities in the North.
