Seoul to Reinvigorate Inter-Korean Industrial Complex

Unification Minister Kim Ha-joong said Wednesday that the South Korean government is considering measures to reinvigorate the inter-Korean industrial complex in the North Korean city of Gaeseong.

The minister told reporters that Seoul will put another 100 shuttle buses in operation at the Gaeseong Industrial Complex on November 3rd.

An official at the Unification Ministry noted that in addition to more buses, Seoul is seeking ways to expand infrastructure at the industrial park, including childcare centers and garbage incinerators.

The official said that as the Gaeseong Complex was built hastily, it needs more infrastructure, adding that the minister's remarks are an expression of Seoul's will to develop the industrial site.
