Defense Minister Lee Sang-hee says North Korea is building a new missile site capable of launching a satellite or long-range missile farther than ever before.

Lee told the National Assembly that the new launch site in Dongchang-ri, North Pyeongan Province was about 80 percent complete.

The minister added that there has been no pause in the construction of the missile site.
