The Changwon Declaration, one of the 32 resolutions adopted during a general session Tuesday, highlights positive actions to ensure human well-being and security in the future.

Another resolution on the preservation of rice paddies promotes proper water management of rice paddies to ensure conservation of biodiversity and sustainable food production.

Some 2,200 people from about 140 countries attended the convention, while around 2,800 people participated in about 20 academic symposiums.

The next conference will be held in 2012 in Romania.
