China Eastern Airlines' once-a-week service between Kwangju and Shanghai will run twice a week from Feb. 18 and daily starting in March. China Northern Airlines will ferry soccer fans between Kwangju and Shenyang four times a week from April. Officials said...charter flights will be added to the regular service around June 4 to better link Kwangju to Shanghai, Shenyang, Beijing and Guangzhou. South Korea and Japan will co-host the World Cup finals May 31 to June 30. The Chinese national team qualified for the finals for the first time and will play in South Korea. Officials said they will readjust schedules after the World Cup kicks off and more accurate passenger counts are available, but Kwangju-Shanghai and Kwangju-Shenyang routes will remain unchanged.
